Get to know Natalie, the Children's Wellbeing Practitioner.

Over the last 30 years I have proactively supported people to improve their health and wellbeing.

My primary focus since early adulthood has been to teach, coach and mentor women and children to be the best version of themselves.

From the age of 16, I have been passionate about supporting children's wellbeing.

In my late teens, I volunteered with St John Ambulance, providing emergency aid across a wide variety of sports and community activities. In the evenings, I also supported a team delivering valuable life skills to children. Over the following 10 years, I continued to develop my leadership and mentoring skills, eventually earning the role of Deputy Area Commissioner for Youth in South Wiltshire.

My Early Working Life

Throughout my early career — both within the National Health Service and the insurance sector — my work always centred around people.

During those years, I saw first-hand how insecurities such as low confidence and poor self-esteem can profoundly affect both personal and professional life. So often, these challenges begin in childhood. This deepened my desire to help children grow into confident, resilient, and happy adults.

For 18 years, I worked in insurance, assessing people's ability to return to work following accident, illness, or injury. This involved understanding physical limitations, mental health challenges, and the strength of each person's support network — to help determine what their future could look like with the right care and guidance.

By helping manage physical health needs, emotional wellbeing, mental health risks, and wider support systems, I was able to support many individuals in making meaningful recoveries — often enabling them to return to their previous level of functioning.

As my knowledge and expertise grew, I progressed into complex case governance, representing the company in disputed physical and mental health claims, including negotiations with the Financial Ombudsman Service and legal representatives.

But something still felt missing. I wanted deeper connection. I wanted greater purpose. Most importantly, I wanted to do more for the families and children in my local community.

The First Big Change

In 2013, I was invited to join the training team of a local professional martial arts school, with the opportunity to become a professional instructor.

This challenge excited me because I knew it would not only help me become a better version of myself, but also allow me to continue supporting both children and adults in a much more direct, face-to-face way.

I fell in love with the power of martial arts as a vehicle for transformation.

Through teaching, coaching, and mentoring, I have helped thousands of adults and children feel stronger in who they are, become more emotionally resilient, and learn how to respond rather than react to life's challenges.

I firmly believe that the way we mentally interpret our experiences shapes what we believe — and those beliefs guide everything we do.

For me, kicking and punching are simply the by-products. The real value lies in the life skills it builds: confidence, self-esteem, resilience, self-control, perseverance, integrity, and respect.

A New Turning Point

During this chapter of my life, I realised there was still so much more I could do.

Not every child who would benefit from life skills coaching would necessarily choose martial arts — so I returned to study once again.

Alongside training as an instructor and Black Belt, I qualified as a Wellbeing Practitioner, completed Emotion Coaching training, became a Mindfulness Leader, and naturally progressed to qualify as a Children's Wellbeing Practitioner.

This became a real turning point.

It opened the door to supporting not only children, but entire families. I began helping parents better understand their children, recognise their role within family dynamics, and make positive changes that benefit the whole household. Being able to offer this support felt — and still feels — like a privilege.

  • Supporting children with confidence, anxiety, and emotional regulation
  • Helping parents understand their child's world and behaviour
  • Working with whole families to improve day-to-day dynamics
  • Delivering workshops and programmes in community and school settings

The Deepest Shift

And yet, there was still one more level of growth ahead.

I realised that despite everything I had achieved, I still carried limiting beliefs from my own childhood. There was an irony in that — helping others overcome barriers while still carrying some of my own.

So I chose to do the deeper inner work myself.

I turned to Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) — a powerful self-development and communication approach that works with the language of the mind to create lasting change and desired outcomes.

The journey was so transformative and fascinating that I continued my training all the way to becoming a Master NLP Coach.

Today, I bring together everything I have learned from my work in children's wellbeing, family dynamics, martial arts, emotional resilience, mindfulness, and NLP coaching. My mission is not just to help clients feel better today, but to create lasting change that positively shapes their future.

Extending the mission

The same work, for the women who raise and nurture children

Today, that mission extends beyond children. The same tools that help a child find their confidence — understanding their mindset, shifting limiting beliefs, building emotional resilience — are just as powerful for the women who raise, teach, and care for them.

That's why I now also offer coaching specifically for women. Because when a woman feels stronger in herself, calmer under pressure, and more confident in her own skin — everyone around her benefits. Her children feel it. Her relationships change. Her sense of self returns.

Whatever brought you here — you don't have to keep carrying it alone.

Confidence & Self Belief

Silence self-doubt and reconnect with the woman you know you can be.

Family & Relationships

Feel calmer at home. Parent from a place of connection, not survival.

Managing Overwhelm

Practical tools to ease anxiety and feel more in control, every day.

Lasting Change

NLP-based techniques that create real, lasting shifts — not temporary fixes.
