What families say

Don't take our word for it, see what other parents say

"The BEST thing I have ever done as a parent is come to you, so thank you for making such a huge difference in our lives because our story would be VERY VERY different!"

Parent

"My daughter would come and see you every week if she could. I need to stop telling people how good you are — otherwise you'll not have time to fit us in!"

Parent

"Everyone needs 'Mrs Bryden'"

Parent

"We are so grateful to Mrs Bryden for her thoughtful and kind approach to our 6 year old. The positive change we've seen in such a short time is astounding."

Here are just some of the things parents tell us when they reach out for help.

  1. I want my child to have more confidence
  2. I want my child to be happy — they seem so sad and withdrawn
  3. I want my child to understand their emotions and how they affect others
  4. I feel judged by other parents
  5. I don't know why my child is so angry all the time
  6. My child's behaviour at home is horrendous, but at school they are the model child. What am I doing wrong?
  7. My child wants to join in but will not engage, even when they know other people there.
  8. They are so hard on themselves when they aren't great at something the first time.
  9. I'm tired and mentally exhausted and I don't know how to help my child
  10. My child has no respect for me and is so aggressive
  11. My child really struggles with friendships

Feeling Good. Functioning Well. Living in Harmony.

It's something all parents want for their child — to see them feeling happy, confident, and able to live well with the people around them.

But life isn't always straightforward. Challenges, change, and everyday pressures can sometimes leave children feeling overwhelmed, unsettled, or off balance. When a child is struggling, the impact is often felt across the whole family.

The good news is that with the right support, small changes can help restore calm, confidence, and connection — creating a happier, healthier path forward for your child and everyone around them.

When your child's wellbeing is out of balance

There are three elements of wellbeing:

If one of these elements isn't functioning effectively it will affect the other two, and your child's ability to function on a day-to-day basis will be compromised.

A private session is tailored to your child's needs

For example: We may explore emotions, discover what they are and most importantly, why we have them.

We build trust and establish a connection to help your child address their personal challenges. We will help your child learn to recognise how emotions have a physical effect on their body, so they can deal with their feelings appropriately — especially when they are angry, frustrated, overwhelmed, anxious, or lack confidence or self-esteem.

What happens in a private session?

Private sessions offer a safe, supportive space where every voice is heard without judgement. Together, we guide you as your child's champion, coach, mentor, and trusted support — helping both you and your child explore challenges through fun, engaging exercises and activities tailored to your specific areas of concern.

A key part of this work is understanding the power of language — both the words children say to themselves and the words they hear from the people around them. These internal representations and everyday messages help shape how children see themselves, their confidence, and their emotional wellbeing.

By gently shifting language, mindset, and perspective, we can help create more positive thought patterns, stronger self-belief, and healthier responses to life's challenges.

Our aim is to improve your family's day-to-day dynamics by helping you understand how small changes in mindset, communication, and wellbeing awareness can have a profound and lasting impact on your child and the whole family.

Frequently asked questions

How can I tell if my child is struggling with their wellbeing?

Often children will initially show signs of poor wellbeing through their behaviour. Children find it hard to explain how they feel, but know they are not comfortable, so will communicate this through behaviour that challenges. They may develop personality changes, mood swings, or a reluctance to attend school. They may withdraw from clubs and friends and have little or no thought for themselves or others.

What is the difference between the workshop and private session?

Workshops are great and provide an insight of the subject matter. A private one-to-one session is personal and designed specifically for your child's individual needs — it goes deeper and creates more tailored, lasting change.

Do parents need to be present at the session?

For children aged 4–12, parents should be present throughout the session. Understanding wellbeing, especially emotions, and how we react to them is complex, and children are likely to need help to understand how uncomfortable emotions affect them. Teenagers can attend sessions without adult support.

How many sessions do I need?

Sessions can be booked weekly, bi-weekly, every three weeks, monthly, or ad hoc. Each session will be beneficial. The more sessions you have the greater the benefit — but even a single session can create a meaningful shift.

What if I can't attend the session?

We understand that you may need to change your appointment. Please provide at least 48 hours' notice. Any cancellation within the 48-hour notice period will be subject to a cancellation fee of 50%. Any missed appointment without notice will be charged at the full session rate.

Can I bring more than one child to the session?

Yes you can. However, as the process unfolds you will gain more from bringing one child at a time, as each child will have unique challenges to overcome.
